"Official information has been received from the Depot at Winchester (through the War Office) by Mrs Henry Castle, of Launton, to the effect that her son, Rifleman Arthur George Castle (9933), K.R.R., died at the front on July 24th, 1916, the cause of death not being stated. He had been previously wounded in the side, for which he was six months in hospital. He was 24 years of age, having been in the Army six years, serving two years in India.
Mrs Castle has two other sons in the Army, one being in the K.R.R. and the other in the O. and B.L.I." Bicester Advertiser 04/08/1916
