"News has been received in the town that Lance-Corporal William Ernest Richardson, of the Royal Warwicks, late of Bicester, was killed in action on October 26th. Before leaving Bicester he was employed by Mr A. Harris, hairdresser. Lance-Corpl. Richardson was 19 years of age. And was the son of Mr Ernest Richardson, of Bicester. He joined the army about twelve months ago." Bicester Advertiser 22/11/1918
